That movie had a _lot_ going on for less than ninety minutes of runtime.

You know what? It was kind of perfect. It didn't overstay its welcome, it delivered on absolutely every bonkers promise it made, it was goofy, it was hilarious, many small models were stomped upon. Fair to say that a good time was had by all.

Real talk for a second: if you wanted to hide evidence in your secret space base from your adversaries, an explosion is cinematic and probably fun, but it would be quite a bit more effective to just fill the underground structure with concrete. If you can plot a planetary invasion you can order some cement mixers.
