So @k8eb has just informed me that she doesn't love Godzilla films in general and might pull the rip cord early on this one, despite its enticingly tight 1h21m runtime.

She then proceeded to admit that her first kaiju film was the Matthew Broderick one, and that she liked it. I advised her to keep this fact off the internet lest she be cyber-bullied into oblivion.
