So since vampires not seeing themselves is particular to mirrors, but they can still be seen by biological eyes that there must be something very fucked up about the way light refracts off of them that it doesn't survive as a coherent image through a first reflection - the light bends and scatters off of them in such a way that it decoheres. they also don't show up in photos and videos right? does that just have to do with the fact that most cameras use lenses to focus the light? like if one just directly exposed a sensor or film to light without a lens in the way you could capture the vampire?

Tonight’s final entry in October’s all-Dracula #monsterdon festival, deviating from the theme by only two letters: “Scream, Blacula, Scream."

I haven’t seen many Blaxploitation movies, and I know next to nothing about them, so I sent myself down a mini Wikipedia rabbit hole this afternoon. Among other things, I learned that there were five movies in the Shaft series, all sequels, with no reboots or remakes. All but two of them are titled, simply, “Shaft.” If the entire genre is similarly ridiculous, tonight is going to be a lot of fun.
